The sixth unit of the Sanlorenzo 52Steel model has been launched by the Italian shipyard. Constructed at the yard’s La Spezia site to a design by Officina Italiana Design, the 52 metre superyacht spans five decks.
The exterior design of the 52Steel is defined by the extensive use of glass, which enhances the relationship between the superyacht and the surrounding sea.
A standout element is the impressive beach club at the stern, which features a glass-bottomed swimming pool and a floodable garage which can convert into an extended swimming platform with fold-out balconies.
The interiors of the model were penned by architect Tiziana Vercellesi, who worked closely with the owner to produce a modern style that incorporates a mixture of materials and finishes such as fine woods, leathers, marbles and onyx, complemented by bespoke Venini chandeliers. There are accommodations for 10 guests and nine crew on board.
Describing the style, Vercellesi commented: “designing the interiors of a yacht is always a challenge, not just in terms of time, but also in the process of grasping and enhancing the expectations of the client. The customers come from all over the world and they bring the typical styles and cultures of their places of origin."
“This yacht too is unique, because it reflects the vision of the owner. It is a challenge, but it is also the most beautiful journey,” added Vercellesi.
The yacht is powered by twin MTU diesel engines and can reach a top speed of 18 knots. At a speed of 11 knots, she boasts a cruising range of 4,400 nautical miles.
The sixth hull joins the ranks of her sister ships Lady Lena, Seven Sins, KD and Toute Sweet.
