Italian studio Pininfarina has revealed a new 80-metre concept named Kairos 80. The superyacht joins Oceanco’s Simply Custom range, which was created as a means to simplify the commissioning process and offer clients a proven naval platform by Lateral Naval Architects.
Kairos 80 has been adapted from a 90-metre collaboration between the Italian shipyard and Oceanco in 2021 to suit the range.

Designer Daniele Mazzon describes the Kairos 80 as “a peaceful oasis in which to relax and enjoy time on your own terms.”
Notably, the proposal takes a “360-degree” approach to design, aiming to create a sense of connection “to the sea below, the light above and to the people beside you.” This is reflected in the yacht's unconventional silhouette, with each deck defined by unique shapes and darkened windows running the length of the structure.
While interior renderings remain largely undisclosed at this stage, drawings of the inside space hint at a white, open-plan layout with expansive windows that flood the area with natural light.
Onboard features of the proposal include a helipad aft, a sit-up bar and a Jacuzzi located at the front of the sundeck. Images also show a piazza beach club fitted with a large swimming pool to be located at the rear of the yacht and other outside spaces to come complete with sunpads and loungers. “The owner and their guests are at the epicentre of the onboard experience, and the surrounding space,” Mazzon explained.
All Simply Custom designs would be fitted with a “state-of-the-art”, all-electrical propulsion and energy architecture system.
This follows the reveal of another concept, Standby, also joining the Simply Custom collection. Designed by Jay Aberdoni, Standby features a “geometrically layered” deck.
