Oyster Yachts is ramping up recruitment as it prepares to keep up with demand, according to reports.
The British sailing yacht yard is set to hire an extra 150 staff across its facilities in Wroxham, Ashmanhaugh and Southampton, the Eastern Daily Press reports.
The employment boost will increase the total workforce to 420 by February 2020 across a number of roles, including laminators, boat builders, joiners, electricians and engineers.
Oyster owner and chief executive Richard Hadida told the EDP that it was “a hugely exciting time for Oyster.”
“It is wonderful to see the brand returned to its former glory, with a full order book and a dedicated team of people in Wroxham, Southampton and Ashmanhaugh building beautiful sailing yachts, using the best of British craftsmanship,” he said.
“We look forward to welcoming many more on board in the coming months.”
It comes after Oyster presented its new “pocket superyacht” model, the Oyster 565, in London earlier this year.
Hadida acquired Oyster in March last year after the British brand went into administration.
