The third unit in Overmarine’s 45m Mangusta GranSport superyacht series Project Sorrento has been sold. Sold to a repeat Mangusta owner, the yacht is due for delivery in summer 2022.
Overmarine Group chief executive Maurizio Balducci said: “We can't wait to start working side by side with the owner to design and build his yacht to his own taste and requirements.”
Described as the “intermediate model” in the Mangusta GranSport range, which also includes 33 and 54 metre yachts, the GranSport 45 is built in aluminium with a fast-displacement hull.
The Mangusta GranSport 45 features exterior design by Alberto Mancin, while the hull has been optimised by engineer Ausonio in collaboration with the yard’s in-house technical department.
Capable of reaching speeds of up to 26 knots, the yacht features accommodation for 10 guests across a main deck master and four lower deck guest cabins.
The master is described as “extremely bright” and is fitted with a fully automated foldable terrace easily operated by the owner.
The main saloon meanwhile features ceiling-high glass surfaces and wide sliding doors to allow maximum natural light in. Meanwhile, the upper deck saloon can be configured at the owner’s discretion to be either a sky lounge, cinema room or dining space.
At the bow on the upper deck sits a lounge area opening onto two sunbathing spaces which sit on the sides of a Jacuzzi infinity pool with a waterfall.
The garage has been moved forward, allowing for a large beach club that can also be opened up to convert into terraces. Connected by the aft platform, this design element results in a 69 square-metre area at direct contact with the sea.
