The first Mangusta 104 REV model has been delivered and is set to debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival next month, it has been announced.
The hull is the first model of the shipyard’s new generation of Maxi Open models by Mangusta Yachts, part of the Overmarine Group and was sold to its American owner by Kitson Yachts. It comes after the 31.8 metre superyacht was launched for the first time in June 2021.
Constructed from composite materials, the Mangusta 104 REV features a sporty look and slender lines by the in-house team in collaboration with designer Igor Lobanov. Accommodation is for up to 10 guests in four spacious cabins.
Overmarine Group’s chief executive Maurizio Balducci said the launch marked "the start of a new chapter in the history of Mangusta Open yachts."
The new series features "restyled exterior lines and a different way of interpreting the interiors, where wide glass surfaces become key design elements," he said.
The yacht features ample outdoor spaces, including a forward sunbathing area and a sundeck with a lounge and pilot station. There is also a garage large enough to carry a five metre tender and three-seat jet ski.
Below deck, the Mangusta 104 REV features a saloon and a dedicated dining area, plus a full-beam master suite.
The Mangusta 104 REV is powered by twin MTU 16V2000M96L engines with two waterjets and can reach a swift top speed of 35 knots. At a speed of 25 knots, she has a cruising range of 370 nautical miles. The model has also been equipped with Seakeeper gyro stabilisers to enhance performance at sea.
The Group also confirmed the sale of the first hull to an American owner, with delivery expected by the end of July 2021. “The client has known the Mangusta brand and appreciated its outstanding quality and reliability for a long time,” said Mangusta Americas president Stefano Arlunno.
“This vessel comes with a number of features that make her perfect overseas - from the spacious outdoor areas, typical of all Mangusta yachts, to the limited draught, allowing for fast cruising in the Bahamas in winter or the Hamptons in the summer” added Arlunno.
The second hull of the Mangusta 104 Rev series is also now available for sale with delivery scheduled for summer 2022.
