ISA Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, has provided a first look at its recently delivered 45 metre model Aria SF. The yacht is currently cruising the west coast of Italy ahead of her official debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2022 and will go on to appear at the Monaco Yacht Show.
Marking the first unit of the yard’s GT 45 series, the superyacht was sold in March 2019 and hit the water for the first time in April 2022.
The yacht’s sporty exterior has been penned by Team For Design - Enrico Gobbi, while her interiors are by Luca Dini.
Her profile is characterised by a plumb bow and a modern profile with an aft-learning radar arch and curved superstructure line that draw inspiration from modern sports cars.
This inspiration extends into the interior, with Dini describing the owner as "an enlightened, forward-looking, open-minded entrepreneur."
Natural and relaxing shades are found throughout, specifically blue and red tones, while materials include "carbon, rosewood and stitched leather" inspired by "automotive stylistic elements", according to Dini.
“Sea, natural light and fresh air had to be centre stage alongside his profound love for technical and functional things, simple materials, cars, speed and primary colours," Dini added.
One of the cornerstones of the yacht’s design is a heavy focus on indoor-outdoor interaction. This is evident across Aria SF, with glass panels in the overhead of the beach club and on the hard top of the sundeck.
The yacht also plays host to a generous swimming pool, open-air gym on the sundeck and a telescope on the bow. Tender storage is located in a lower deck garage via a starboard shell door, where a five-metre chase boat can be easily tucked away.
Freestanding furnishings from designers including Achille Castiglioni and Caccia Dominioni are found throughout the first GT 45. In the main saloon, a crystal structure from the Crystal Lounge line by Glas Italia takes pride of place.
In the accommodation quarters meanwhile, the bulkheads behind the beds have been turned into "true artworks" of personalised sketches themed around waves, sand, rocks, coral wind and speed.
Accommodation on board is for ten guests in five large cabins, including a luxurious full-beam master suite complete with a balcony and private access to the bow sunbathing area.
The remaining cabins can be found below deck, where there are two VIP and two double cabins with twin beds, with a sliding mechanism that can make them easily convertible. Seven members of crew can be accommodated in three double cabins below deck, in addition to the captain's cabin located on the upper deck.
Thanks to two CAT C32 ACERT engines of 1, 318hp each, the yacht can reach a maximum speed of 15.5 knots.
ISA has described the finished result as "welcoming, lively, light but concrete". Giuseppe Palumbo, director of Palumbo Superyachts, has previously expressed appreciation for the owner's active participation in the new model and “enhancing it with innovation and technology”.
“The launch of ISA GT 45 emphasizes an extremely active time of our company,” Palumbo added. “The Ancona shipyard is operating at full capacity with all its slots booked, which is why we have diverted to our Savona production site the construction of two other self-financed boats.”
The second hull in the series is currently under construction with delivery expected in 2023.
