Taiwanese yard Horizon Yachts has launched the second unit of its E81 series, 25.8 metre Valiant, from its Kaohsiung facility.
Constructed in GRP and designed inside and out by the yard, Valiant is set to make its debut at the 2021 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this month.
The tri-deck vessel was customised to accommodate its experienced American owner’s cruising lifestyle, featuring a large amount of exterior space for yacht of its size.
Speaking about Valiant’s construction, the owner said: “This is the second boat we have done as a semi-custom build, but the experience has been different in that Horizon has bent over backwards to deliver we want.”
Taking advantage of the yacht’s 6.25 metre beam, the main deck aft features an alfresco dining area for up to 12 guests. Walkaround side decks lead to the foredeck, which features an entertainment area and large sofa with sun pads on the bow.
Elsewhere, the saloon on the main deck leads through to a spacious galley and country-style kitchen forward. Accommodation is for a total of six guests in a full-beam master suite, a VIP stateroom forward and a twin guest stateroom to starboard.
Instead of having a fourth stateroom, the owners instead opted for an office-cum-library with a built-in workspace.
Powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines, Valiant will have a top speed of 25 knots and cruising speed of 21 knots.
It comes after the first unit of the E81 series was delivered in July 2021.
