Designer Steve Gresham has opened Gresham Yacht Design and will be specialising in the exterior design and styling, naval architecture and project management of superyachts from 25m up to 120m. He announces the opening of the new superyacht design firm publicly in time for the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show.
Gresham has a strong track record in superyacht design, having worked with well-know yacht designers, including Don Shead Yacht Design for six years, Tony Castro Yacht Design for two years, and most recently, H2 Yacht Design for eight years, specialising in yachts 70m-plus. There are currently 500m total of superyacht in build that he has had a hand in designing. Prior to the yacht industry, Gresham has a background in automotive design working for Williams Formula One.
'I'm not that into doing run of the mill,' says Gresham of his style, which he describes as current and innovative. '...want to be innovative, but not for the sake of being different – it has to be functional, too.' Gresham endeavours to push boundaries in his designs, while adhering to the owner's wishes and requirements.
Gresham will tap into his past experience of working with interior designers, decorators, and suppliers from around the world – as well as time he has spent on site overseeing work on yachts he has contributed his designs to – in his new business at Gresham Yacht Design. He looks forward to offering a full service, from inception to completion, with his new firm.
