The Ferretti Group has announced that the first Custom Line Navetta 42 yacht has been launched at the yard's Ancona facility.
The Navetta 42 was sold to an Italian client in July 2017 and, with a volume in excess of 300GT, is the biggest Custom Line built to date. It features interior and exterior styling by Zuccon International Project as well as naval architecture by the Ferretti Engineering Department.
The semi-custom Navetta 42 has four fully customisable decks, which offer huge spaces for the owner and guests. According to the yard, the well-designed layout of the new Navetta 42 “will ensure the most efficient organisation of on board flows, offering total privacy for the owner and the guests, and great freedom of movement for the captain and the crew”.
A spacious owner’s suite is situated on the main deck and the lower deck offers four VIP suites. The separate crew area can accommodate six crew, with a private captain’s cabin located next to the bridge on the upper deck.
The interiors of the first Navetta 42 have been fully customised to the desires of its owner, who commented, "Navetta 42 is a wonderful dream come true: a maxi yacht built with the care of a tailor-made suit. I want to thank the architect and the whole Custom Line team for having successfully translated my desires into style and beauty. Navetta 42 is a unique work of yacht building artistry, one that I feel is truly my own."
At the stern of the yacht a superyacht beach club opens up at sea level. This aft space is devoted to guest entertainment as a side opening tender garage keeps the launching and recovering of the tender and toys separate from the guest area.
The design comes with five different engine options to suit any buyer. Preliminary data suggests that the standard option will offer a transatlantic range of more than 3,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots.
The Navetta 42 will go on display at both the Cannes and Monaco boat shows in September 2018. Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Italian yard include a further three Navetta 42 units while the yard has recently launched the fifth Navetta 37 and the fourth Navetta 33.
