Extra Yachts, a brand of ISA Yachts, has launched the first hull in its 30 metre Extra X99 Fast line at the Palumbo shipyard in Ancona.
The latest addition to the Extra fleet is a planing model powered by two 2,600hp MTU engines, each paired to a waterjet, offering a top speed of 37 knots. The first unit was sold to an American client in December 2020 while the second hull was sold just two weeks later.
The model is an evolution of the Extra X76 and Extra X86 models boasting a “combination of modernity, large volumes and comfort,” the yard said. Francesco Guida Design teamed up with the shipyard once again on the exterior design with an interior handled by Luca Dini Design & Architecture.
The Extra X99 Fast features a GRP superstructure with carbon reinforcements, with a 7.1-metre beam and 1.5-metre draft for easy access to shallow anchorages. A 75-square-metre outdoor area sloping down towards the sea serves as an open-air beach club, complete with collapsible balconies, a lounge, sun loungers and an extendable table that can comfortably seat 12 guests.
A large Jacuzzi sits at the bow of the main deck while a 41-square-metre flybridge sits above.
Accommodation on board is for a total of 10 guests in one VIP cabin, while two twins and a full-beam master cabin are all located on the lower deck.
A four-metre Williams Sportjet tender has a dedicated garage on the starboard side, while two Jet Skis are housed in the bow with a hydraulic crane for launch and recovery.
The new model has already completed its first sea trial.
