Eighth Amels 60 superyacht enters outfitting in the Netherlands

The eighth unit in the Amels 60 series has entered outfitting following her recent arrival at Damen Yachting's shipyard in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. She has joined the seventh Amels 60, with both yachts scheduled for delivery in 2025.

The Amels 60 was introduced to the market in 2019 and features an exterior design by Espen Øino, including the geometric windows that have become the series' trademark. Notable sisterships include the first unit in the series, Come Together, which was recently sold at a last known asking price of €59,950,000. The Dutch yard's second unit, Entourage, won a Neptune at this year's World Superyacht Awards.

Accommodation will be for 12 guests and 12 crew, including the captain. This unit's custom interiors are courtesy of London-based Design Studio, who have opted for a "modern and smart approach".

Model highlights include a folding, 75-square-metre balcony in the owner's suite and the sundeck, which measures 162 square metres and is typically arranged with a six-person Jacuzzi, a bar and a raised foredeck for sunbathing that doubles as a helipad. There is also the option to install glass windbreakers for dining while underway. 

The Amels 60 features a hybrid propulsion package for a maximum speed of 15.5 knots on full power and 14 knots when "eco cruising". When propelled purely by the hybrid electrical drive motors, the model reaches a top speed of seven knots.

In recent news, the sixth unit in the series hit the water and debuted her custom hull, which has been painted a "striking" shade of blue.
