Italian shipyard Benetti has sent the latest unit in its Oasis 40M series into the water at its Livorno yard. The 40.8-metre yacht has been christened Oreos, which is a diminutive of a Greek word meaning "nice" or "attractive".
According to BOATPro, the hull was sold in November 2020 by Spanish brokerage firm Yacht Moments.
The launch ceremony was held on 12 April and attended by the owners, the shipyard team and Kurt Lehmann of Yacht Moments. The yacht was rolled out of the shed and lowered into the water showing off a modern profile courtesy of RWD, with a glass-fronted aft deck dip pool and unfolding bulwarks that form overwater balconies.
Like all the models in the Oasis 40M series, Oreos has an interior by New York-based studio Bonetti / Kozerski architecture.
The yacht joins ten other Oasis 40M series on the water, including Joy and Phoenix. There are a further 12 units in this series on order or in build.
