Italian yacht builder Benetti has announced the sale of another 66 metre custom displacement hull superyacht — Project FB273.

Limited details are known about Project FB273, which has been signed for by an owner with “experience in the nautical sector”. The yacht has been designed by Benetti’s in-house team in collaboration with Michele Guerrieri and will be built at Benetti’s yard in Livorno, Italy and delivered in 2019.

Very little is know about the new 66 metre Benetti

The FB273 is the fifth contract signed by Benetti for a superyacht more than 50 metres LOA in the past year. Fabio Ermetto, chief commercial officer for Benetti, said he was “very satisfied” with the sales.

“Benetti has consolidated its reputation as a reference point for all those owners with vast experience in the nautical sector – as with the owner of the FB273 – that turn to us to satisfy very special requests for specific designs, while never compromising the highest levels of operation and performance,” Ermetto added.

“Commercial success is added to ever improving production capability, confirming that Benetti is the world's unchallenged leader of top yachting.”

Earlier this year it was announced that John Staluppi had signed an order for a 66-metre Benetti luxury yacht. Staluppi’s 66 metre yacht will be fully custom with aluminium performing hull with a top speed of over 20 knots. The American billionaire is a long-standing Benetti customer and several of Staluppi’s James Bond theme yachts have been built by the Italian yard.
