Italian yacht builder Baglietto has announced the launch of its third 40-metre DOM 133 model Perla Bianca, originally sold in collaboration with Remi Carrier of Canada Yachts. Following the technical ceremony, the aluminium yacht was moved to the yard's La Spezia facility for outfitting before her scheduled delivery this summer.
Borrowing its name from the Latin word "domus", meaning "home", the DOM 133 had been designed by Stefano Vafiadis while still offering customisable options for both the yacht's exterior and interior. For Perla Bianca, her owner chose a natural colour scheme made up of pale maple wood and precious marbles including Calacatta Oro and White Onyx.
Standout features on this particular hull include 3D ceilings in the main saloon to maximise the feeling of space indoors, while also creating a separation between the lounge and dining areas. Outside, a transparent staircase leads from the main saloon to the upper deck with large floor-to-ceiling sliding windows used to invite guests inside the upper deck saloon.
"The aim of this project has always been to achieve a smooth, seamless connection between interiors and exteriors, thereby making the most of the generous onboard spaces," Vafiadis said in a statement.
Elsewhere, a split-level beach club combines the space with a shaded lounge area on the main deck aft, featuring an infinity pool "whose lifting bottom rises to make the already spacious cockpit even larger", according to Baglietto CCO Fabio Ermetto. "In spite of their contemporary layout, all yachts in this line never fail to include the key features demanded by today's market," Ermetto added.
A limited draught allows the yacht access to remote anchorages and shallow waters, such as the Bahamas, while twin Caterpillar C32 engines supply a top speed of 17 knots.
Perla Bianca is one of seven DOM 133 models. The first in the series, Attitude, is currently nominated for a World Superyacht Award at next month's ceremony in Istanbul, Turkey.
