Azimut reveals new details about 38m Tri-Deck superyacht

10 December 2020 • Written by Miranda Blazeby

Italian yard Azimut has revealed new details and renderings of its largest ever yacht project; the 38 metre Trideck.

First revealed at last year's Cannes Yachting Festival, the model features exterior design penned by Alberto Mancini and interiors by Achille Salvagni.

With a sub-300GT, semi planing hull and anticipated top speed of 24 knots, the 38 metre Trideck will be the biggest Azimut ever built. Three units have already been sold.

Mancini's exterior lines are described as “elegant and dynamic” while one key exterior feature is the raised deck at the stern, which has created a number of outdoor areas including a “sea view terrace” and "private patio".

The sea view terrace is described as a “spacious lounge zone” above the water with “spectacular, unimpeded views” while the private patio is a “sheltered, intimate space” below the terrace.

A separate forward garage accommodates the tender and water toys, leaving the beach club free for lounging and relaxing.

Various interior layouts are available offering either five or six guest cabins. Other features include an open beach area, a full lounge on the main deck and dining area on the upper deck.

Inside, Salvagni has moved away from the traditional arrangement of on-board spaces to create a configuration more reflective of modern lifestyles.

The model will be built at the group's Viareggio facility

Interior spaces flow into exterior areas while the traditional formal dining area has been moved from the main deck to the upper deck. This allows the main deck to be dedicated to socialising and informal gatherings, the builder said.

Currently underway at Azimut’s Viareggio facility, the first hull is due for delivery in early 2021.
