Italian yard Azimut has announced it will debut two new models at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival this September, the Grande 26M and the Grande 36M.
Launched this week by Azimut, the pair build on the success of Azimut's existing Grande line with some exciting new design integrations.
The highlight of the Grande 26M is a sea-view terrace on an extended cockpit, while the Grande 36M is equipped with yard’s first-ever upper deck semi-walkaround, which extends almost to the tip of the bow.
Alberto Mancini has penned the yacht’s exteriors, with Achille Salvagni helming the interiors.
Eco credentials on both models include a lightweight carbon fibre and vinyl ester resin build that will improve fuel efficiency, with the Grande 26M is taking it one step further with a new Pod drive system.
Speaking about the yacht’s designs, Azimut said: “the philosophy behind the Azimut Grande collection is to evoke a feeling of being completely immersed in nature.
“This is achieved by removing any impediments or barriers, with its signature full-length windows just one of many bold design features that are not merely for the sake of aesthetics but designed to deliver an extraordinary experience for owner and guests alike.”
The smaller of the two models, the Grande 26 Metri, is defined by a sea-view terrace on an extended cockpit. Despite the compact size, the model boasts a spacious owner’s suite on the main deck and four guest cabins below. There is also a completely separate crew thoroughfare which allows crew to pass unobserved to their quarters, which are situated at the bow of the yacht and can be reached directly from the galley on the main deck.
The second new model in the series is the Grande 36 Metri. A single-level walkaround upper deck is the key selling point of this model, offering masses of additional space and movement for her guests to enjoy. A sky lounge is located in the centre of this deck, flanked by sliding glass doors that allow the interior and exterior to merge together and create a single living space. A dip pool and sunpad spread are located further forward.
The two new models join the existing Grande fleet, which currently includes the 25, 27, 30, 32 and 35 Metri models as well as the Grande S10 and the new Grande Trideck.
