Turquoise Yachts unveils "ready to build" 65m and 80m concepts with unconventional crow's nest

20 February 2025 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Turkish yard Turquoise Yachts and British studio Bannenberg & Rowell have joined forces on two brand-new superyacht concepts. Measuring 65 and 80 metres, the pair of designs are known as Above + Beyond and are listed for sale with Denison Yachting

The 65-metre Above is the first to be introduced to market, though the brokerage firm told BOAT International that the 80-metre Beyond – to be announced later this year – will be the first to begin construction on speculation. An unconventional touch by Bannenberg & Rowell is the crow's nest, which is configured as a custom platform-cum-elevator that can climb the height of the mast.

"Imagine using this feature when cruising the polar regions, or docked in Port Hercule for the Monaco Grand Prix," added broker Alex G. Clarke. "It's such a great touch."

At the heart of the design is the "flow of the main deck" with efforts made to connect the six guest cabins to the main saloon and formal dining areas. The saloon, in turn, transitions into the main deck aft, characterised by a sprawling lounge and glass-bottom pool that feeds sunlight into the beach club below.

The upper deck master suite has a study, dressing room, en suite and 270-degree views

A wellness area with sauna, steam shower, massage room and full gymnasium with balcony can be found in the beach club, alongside a lounge area complete with a full-service bar, sitting area and dual balconies.

Another important consideration when designing Above was the configuration of the crew. For ease of service, each deck has a substantial pantry, while a commercial grade galley with walk-in freezer and pantry can be found below deck. The crew would also benefit from laundry facilities, a gym and an "oversized crew mess".

Above would be built on a pre-existing hull platform by Turquoise Yachts, with the final design and LOA able to be adjusted to the client's requirements.

According to BOATPro, Turquoise Yachts has four yachts currently under construction, having recently celebrated the delivery of the 79-metre Nympheas (ex Project Toro).
