Construction milestone reached on "gentleman's" explorer yacht

The first unit in Cantiere delle Marche's (CdM) Deep Blue 115 series has entered outfitting at the yard's Ancona site. Sold by IYC in 2024, this milestone brings the 35-metre one step closer to completion, with delivery to her American owner scheduled for 2026.

Horacio Bozzo is responsible for the exterior design, and he explains the project was conceived to create a "pocket gentleman’s superyacht with a strong explorer DNA".  Axis Group Yacht Design has been entrusted to develop both naval architecture and engineering of the yacht. Meanwhile, the "subtle elegance" and "exquisite details" throughout the interior are the work of Italian designer Giorgio M. Cassetta.

Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO of CdM, said: "A notable American owner, with a taste for excellence, has entrusted Cantiere delle Marche with the creation of a Deep Blue 115, a vessel replete with cutting-edge technical specifications. This ambition has been further improved by the collaboration with DÖHLE YACHTS, resulting in a project that stands as an undisputed pinnacle within its category."

Swaine added, "This one-off creation in partnership with Cantiere delle Marche for my client has been an exceptional experience and one which demonstrates the reason they are the leader in full custom explorer yachts."

Accommodation is for 10 guests across five cabins, including an owner's apartment on the main deck forward. Four guest cabins will be located on the lower deck with further provision for seven crew.

On the main deck, there is a large galley and a main saloon with openable sliding doors on both sides and a foldable terrace to starboard next to the dining area. Particular highlights on board are the large swimming pool aft with a tank to store the treated water while underway and the foredeck cinema. The whole AV/IT systems of the yacht are engineered by Videoworks.

With a robust steel hull, the model boasts a gross tonnage of 299 GT. Deep Blue 115 is powered by twin Caterpillar C18 delivering 533kW each.

According to BOATPro, Cantiere delle Marche has 17 superyacht projects on order or under construction. The Italian yard recently celebrated the delivery of the 45-metre Tremenda, a custom build commissioned by an "experienced owner".
