The 34.14 metre motor yacht Something Southern, listed for sale by Westport Yacht Sales, has been sold and will be renamed Eclipse. The buyer was introduced by Jason Lozeau and Josh Olsen at Galati Yacht Sales.
Built in GRP by US yard Westport to a design by Jack Sarin, Something Southern was delivered in 2002 and in 2013 received interior upgrades that included new audio/visual and entertainment systems. A successful charter yacht, she accommodates eight guests in four cabins. She offers a master suite with an en suite shower and bath, a VIP suite, a double and a twin, all with entertainment centres, television screens and en suite showers. In addition, there are quarters for four crew.
Her saloon is a study in contrasts, using large windows, dark wood joinery and light coloured soft furnishings to create a thoroughly contemporary interior. Guests can relax at the full service bar or turn their attention to an entertainment centre including a 65 inch flat screen television set. A formal dining area with seating for eight guests is located forward.
Al fresco entertaining and dining is available on the large, sheltered aft deck, fitted with upholstered bench seating, several chairs and two matching teak tables while up on the flybridge is a bar, several seating areas, sun loungers, a Jacuzzi and awnings providing respite from the sun.
A compact and very private sunbathing area is offered on the foredeck, complete with crescent shaped seating.
Twin 1,800hp MTU diesel engines give her a range of 1,800 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Something Southern was asking $4,999,000.
