A €1,300,000 price drop had been made on the 32.6-metre Wally sloop Spirit of Malouen X, listed for sale with Youri Loof and Laurent Pagès of Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage (BGYB).
Delivered in 2012 as the first Wallycento Hamilton, the carbon-fibre composite cruiser-racer was built at Green Marine in the UK. She was designed by top naval architects Judel-Vrolijk, along with Monk Design and Design Unlimited.
Since her launch, Spirit of Malouen X has been extended by 2 metres to improve her performance. She has been constantly upgraded and used for cruising in the Mediterranean and racing on the inshore Maxi Circuit as well as offshore events including the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s RORC600 in the Caribbean. In 2022 she was the winner of the Maxi Class at Les Voiles de St Tropez.
As with all Wallys, minimalism is the order of the day both on deck and down below. Flush teak decks, complemented by a guest cockpit amidships, invite guests and crew to stretch their legs both while at rest and while cracking along in a still breeze.
The interior is beautifully finished, with proper attention paid to lighting. There is accommodation for an owner’s party of six in three cabins. The master double and two guest twins have hidden lighting to avoid upsetting night vision. The galley is big enough for the chef to cater for a full racing crew or family and friends cruising. There are quarters for a crew of four.
Her new owner will be sure to attract attention and admiration whenever entering a new anchorage or port and receive invitations to Ferretti Group’s events, now the brand is part of the group.
A single 300hp Diemaxx engine gives the DNV-classed 89GT yacht for sale a cruising speed of 7 knots, easily outperformed in the gentlest of winds under sail.
Lying in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Spirit of Malouen X is asking €6,900,000.
