The 30.45 metre sailing yacht Dark Shadow has been sold, with Leo Jordil at IYC representing the seller and L Marine Group representing the buyer.
Built in carbon fibre by Italian yard Wally with German Frers taking care of the naval architecture and Luca Bassani responsible for the exterior design, the yacht features an interior by Foster & Partners. She was delivered in 2002 and extensively refitted in 2012. Accommodation is for six guests in three cabins comprising a master suite and two twins, all with en suite shower facilities.
Her interiors are contemporary and spacious. White panelling and dark floors contrast effectively to give an overall modern, fresh atmosphere. Her main saloon offers a sumptuous sofa, seating and opposing formal dining table. She features full audio/visual systems in the saloon, including an Apple television screen, a large selection of available movies and a Linn stereo surround sound system.
On deck, the cockpit offers a large al fresco dining area with two tables and wrap around seating. Forward of the cockpit is the main companionway leading below, followed by a massive raised sun pad. Her dual helms are aft of the cockpit, with an uninterrupted walkway connecting to the level aft deck.
Dark Shadow has enjoyed success at sailing regattas on the world stage, including events like St Barths Bucket and Voiles de St Tropez. Under power, a 350hp Caterpillar diesel engine allows a top speed of 12 knots.
Dark Shadow was asking €2,600,000.
