The 28.65 metre Bonny Read has been listed for sale with Yachtzoo and is one of the largest sportfish superyachts currently on the market.
Bonny Read is a 95GT sportfish yacht built in fibreglass by the Sea Force IX shipyard in 2013. She joins the market fresh from a six-month refit in 2021, which included both cosmetic and mechanical upgrades including an overhaul of the engines.
The cockpit is the centre of fishing activities on board with a Release trillion series fighting chair and a rocket launcher on the centreline. To port and starboard are 45-gallon live-wells with a custom-built tuna tube system on the transom and eight-rod holders lining the gunwales. Her teak cockpit sole was replaced during recent refit work and features two rudder inspection hatches and centreline bilge access.
Up one level from the cockpit, accessed from the aft deck via a stainless spiral staircase, is the yacht's enclosed bridge deck. An L-shaped sofa sits to port facing a flatscreen television, with a dining area forward and a second spiral staircase offering access to the flybridge.
Fishing operations continue up on the flybridge, complete with a newly upholstered mezzanine bench seat and a full stainless steel railing housing six rod holders. From here, the captain can enjoy 360-degree visibility with a full view of the bow and cockpit.
During her refit, the original hardtop was replaced by a custom-built Pipewelders hardtop featuring two new Intellian satellite domes and radars, two new Miya Epoch electric reels, two spotlights and all-new GPS antennas as well as VHF and stereo antennas.
Power comes from a pair of 2400hp diesel MTU 16V2000 M94 engines delivering a top speed of 25 knots, while two new Seakeeper stabilisers keep her steady.
Lying in Los Sueños, Costa Rica, Bonny Read is asking $9,800,000.
