The 24.9 metre sailing yacht Atao, listed for sale by Bernard Gallay at Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage, has been sold in-house.
Atao was built by France’s JFA yard in aluminim to a design by Inigo Toledo and delivered in 2006 to a perfectionist owner as a cruising centreboard sloop. Everything on Atao has been carefully thought through and only the very best equipment has been put on board.
An interior by Rhoades Young Design features teak flooring and French cherry wood panelling accommodating six guests in three double cabins, all with full en-suite facilities. There is direct access from the owner´s cabin to the deckhouse and the view from the deckhouse is unparalleled. The crew can also access the deck through the deckhouse hatch. The lifting keel is a key component of the boat which, once deployed, increases the shallow draught from 2.55 to 4.20 metres, and transforms upwind capability.
A favourite place for keen sailors is in the cockpit to enjoy the day’s sailing and there is also a table in the cockpit making it possible to dine al fresco under the stars in the evenings.
Atao has an upper saloon with two leather couches and a table, while a lower saloon has a seating area to port and a dining area to starboard. The lower saloon has natural light flooding in from the skylight above. Under power, a 270hp MAN engine gives her a cruising speed of 9 knots.
Atao was asking €1,990,000.
