The 49.8 metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Silencio, listed with Jonathan Barbe of Edmiston, has been sold in-house with Edmiston's Cornelius Gerling introducing the buyer.
Built in steel and aluminium by Italian yard Perini Navi, Silencio was delivered in 2001 as the third yacht in the yard’s successful 50 metre series. Her generous accommodation sleeps up to 12 guests in five well-appointed en suite cabins including a full-beam master suite which can be converted into two individual suites if required.
A minimal interior by Christian Liaigre in collaboration with the shipyard's in-house design team features cherry wood, white carpets and black and white artworks. On the main deck, a large saloon features a pair of sofas with coffee tables between the two. Forward to port is an office space and forward to starboard is a formal dining area that seats ten.
Silencio was extensively refitted in 2012 and again in 2021 where she completed her 20 years ABS survey and received a new suit of sails from Evolution, including a mainsail, mizzen and genoa. She has proved her worth on the regatta circuit through the years, picking up silverware at the 2018 Perini Navi Cup, the 2015 Millennium Cup and the 2019 Loro Piana Regatta.
This ketch sports two aluminium masts that stand 52 metres and 35 metres tall respectively with custom captive reel winches and steel rod rigging by OYS. The genoa and staysail are furled on electric furlers.
Her earlier refit, undertaken in the Perini Navi shipyard in Viareggio, granted Silencio larger outdoor spaces with more al fresco dining options and sunbathing areas. The main deck aft can be set up with a pair of loungers and features a recessed cockpit with a curved sofa and dining table beneath the shade of the overhang.
The sundeck, shaded by awnings, features an array of sofas and coffee tables that wrap around the mast.
Under power, twin 979hp Deutz engines give her a range of 3,500 nautical miles at her cruising speed of 13 knots. Storage for two tenders can be found on the foredeck.
Silencio was asking €13,500,000 with VAT paid.
