The 60 metre sailing yacht Seahawk, jointly listed for sale by Burgess with Perini Navi USA, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Steve Berson at Wellington Yacht Partners.
Built in aluminium by Italian yard Perini Navi to a design by Ron Holland, Seahawk was delivered in 2013 and is ABS classed, with her most recent refit in 2018. French designer Christian Liaigre is responsible for the elegant yet traditionally maritime-inspired interiors. She accommodates up to 12 guests in four en suite guest cabins and a full-beam owner's suite that has two beds on either side and can be divided by a sliding wall to convert into two VIP staterooms for chartering.
On the technical side, Seahawk has two aluminium masts at 62 and 52 metres, and her sail plan totals 2,125 square metres. Booms, spreaders, foils, headstays and diagonals are in carbon fibre, and – a first for Perini Navi – carbon fibre is also utilised for the standing rigging. The Perini Navi Mast Division also created a new generation of fully-recessed furlers for the head sails and new captive winches that increase manoeuvring power and speed; thanks to the new winches, Seahawk can tack in 42 seconds compared to the previous time of two minutes on previous yachts.
Under power, twin 8V 2000 M72 MTU diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 12 knots topping out at 15 knots.
Seahawk was asking €29,750,000.
