New Compositeworks paint shed ready for July

22 June 2011 • Written by Raphael Montigneaux

Compositeworks, the French yard based in La Ciotat and specialising in refits for many years, has announced the construction of a new paint shed.

To cope with growing demand, in 2009 Compositeworks inaugurated a new area with 16 places for yachts up to 45m combined with a 300 ton travel lift. Now this area will also accommodate a brand new 50m paint shed.

Astutely, details were thought through to make life easier: the travel lift has direct access through the shed; a clean wall system allows direct paint jobs without tent or extractor; a keel pit reduces working heights; solar-powered systems include the air treatment units and there is also a small paint cabin for tenders and parts.

This new facility will be ready for service in July.
