The 49.8-metre Heesen motor yacht Van Tom has been sold with Arne Ploch of Camper & Nicholsons representing the seller and Jeremy Comport of Ocean Independence introducing the buyer.
Built of aluminium in The Netherlands by Heesen and delivered in 2018, her exterior is by Omega Architects and she was the sixth hull in a series of eight. Francesco Paszkowski designed the interior, along with Margherita Casprini.
Six cabins provide accommodation for 12 guests, comprising master suite, full-beam VIP, two doubles and two twins. There are quarters for a crew of up to nine.
Van Tom's interior is modern and contemporary and of proven layout with a sky lounge above the main saloon and a sundeck up top, with Jacuzzi and Teppanyaki grill. Further seating is located forward of the wheelhouse. Customised exterior railings with safety gates were designed in to make her especially safe for children.
The 499GT ABS-classed yacht has a maximum speed of 23 knots and cruising speed of 20 knots, powered by twin 3,862hp MTUs. Range is 3,100 nautical miles at 11 knots. She was built to commercial MCA standards but has only been used privately by her original owner.
Van Tom was asking €28,900,000 with VAT paid.
