The 44.2 metre Feadship motor yacht Moon Sand, jointly listed for sale by Burgess and Edmiston & Company, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Rytis Babravicius of Ocean Independence.
Designed by De Voogt Naval Architects, Moon Sand was built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Feadship to Lloyds class and delivered in 2015. An interior by Bannenberg & Rowell combines zebrano and mahogany woods to great effect, creating accommodation for eight guests in four cabins. The full beam master suite is on the main deck, while below lie the VIP suite and two double cabins. All guest cabins have entertainment centres, LED television screens and en suite bathrooms while crew quarters sleep up to nine members of staff.
The bridge deck saloon on Moon Sand is designed for comfortable lounging and as a place where the owner can work. It is a multi-purpose space that includes a games table, a bar and a television area.
The owners decided during the design phase that they wanted to be able to exercise on the aft deck. The contraflow swimming pool was one of the first major additions during the design. The pool holds up to 9,000 litres of water and has a holding tank directly below.
Twin 1,200hp Caterpillar diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 12 knots topping out at 14 knots and she has a range of 3,600 nautical miles at 10 knots. For increased safety and comfort, she is fitted with Quantum zero speed stabilisers.
Moon Sand was asking €26,950,000.
