The 27 metre Cheoy Lee explorer yacht, Doubleyou, is newly listed for sale through Martin Holmes at Northrop & Johnson.
Delivered in 1999, she was owned for several years by renowned American singer Jimmy Buffett, who may have been inspired to write songs while aloft in the yacht's crow's nest. She is the only Cheoy Lee 90 Expedition model to be designed by Tom Fexas.
Doubleyou underwent an extensive interior refit in Indonesia, finished in 2020, that focused on the main saloon, skylounge, bridge and guest cabins. The upgraded, modern styling brought a fresh touch to the yacht's otherwise traditional aesthetic, penned by Melody Savio. The relaxed style is reminiscent of a Hamptons beach house with an understated colour palette, white timber flooring and deckhead panels complemented by elegant furnishings.
Doubleyou's main saloon features sweeping windows, two mirrored sofas and a large dining table. Her galley is well-equipped with modern appliances for creating meals onboard. Spanning the full beam, the port side of the galley has a dinette area for informal dining and acts as an extension to the galley, offering more food preparation space.
The skylounge is a multifunctional zone with access to the aft deck, showcasing an L-shaped bar with seating, a wide, forward-facing sofa, and upholstered teak seating.
Nine guests are accommodated in four guest staterooms divided into two areas. The master suite and VIP cabin are in the aft section, both cabins being full-beam and well-appointed, with ample storage. Two further guest cabins are located midships with twin berths and an additional Pullman berth in the starboard cabin.
The yacht's exterior styling is that of a traditional explorer yacht with a tall superstructure, wide side decks and an open foredeck for tender storage and provision of cruising gear storage as required. A hydraulic crane sits centrally and can be used to retrieve or launch tenders and toys.
Her cockpit is an excellent place for guests to gather alfresco under complete coverage from the elements. The bridge features a main helm seat flanked by two other navigational seats and a raised observation seat with a small table for guests to enjoy the scenery while underway.
Powered by 1,200hp of Caterpillar machinery, this GRP yacht for sale has a 4,300 nautical mile range at 9.5 knots and can cruise at 12 knots with a top speed of 14 knots.
Doubleyou's asking price is $2,700,000
