The classic 28-metre motor yacht Kapal, built by Feadship, has joined the market with Todd Holzapfel of Alexander Marine.
Delivered in 1971, Kapal is described by her brokers as a "superbly presented, maintained and upgraded classic steel motor yacht". Over the years, she has reaped the rewards of significant refits, including a full repaint of her exterior, refreshed brightwork and the addition of modern technologies and navigation equipment. As such, she remains in "concourse condition", with timeless lines and a classic white exterior profile.
Where interiors are concerned, Kapal features an in-house design and is penned by neutral tones, with satin teak finishes found within the furnishings.
On entering the main saloon, the yacht boasts a bright and spacious interior, fitted with custom furniture and large glass windows. Drop-down windows allow for cross ventilation, while a Hi/Lo Samsung Frame TV is neatly integrated into an entertainment cabinet. To port, there is a three-seater leather sofa accompanied by two armchairs, while forward, a wet bar can be found.
Accommodation is divided into two areas - forward and aft – separated by the engine room to ensure maximum guest privacy. The master cabin, located aft, includes a king-size bed, a private en suite and full-height wardrobes, while two twin guest cabins are positioned nearby. Quarters are available for a crew of five.
Stepping outside, the yacht features a hydraulic teak-laid swim platform at the stern, equipped with stainless steel safety rails and space for storing a tender or Jet Ski. A teak staircase leads up to the cockpit, which includes a bench seat with new upholstery and a circular table. The area is protected by an overhead hardtop and three-sided enclosures, with wing doors on either side to shield against wind and rain.
Moving forward along the wide teak-laid side decks, varnished teak-capped bulwarks enhance safety as guests make their way to the foredeck. The foredeck includes a forward-facing bench seat and dual windlasses with Mason stainless steel anchors. According to her broker, the anchoring equipment is "heavy-duty" and designed for secure mooring in a range of conditions.
On her technical side, the 92GT yacht for sale is powered by twin 455 hp Cummins engines, offering a cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum speed of 13 knots. According to her broker, Kapal is a "high-volume, full-displacement motor yacht" designed for long-range cruising.
Other key features include a spacious and modernised engine room, equipped with low-hour engines, twin Onan generators and updated electrical distribution systems. These upgrades, combined with Naiad stabilisers and a lithium battery bank, ensure the yacht’s reliability and comfort while underway.
