The 31 metre explorer yacht Hvalross has been sold with Arcon Yachts acting for the seller and Engel & Völkers introducing the buyer.
Delivered in 2017 by Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche, Hvalross is the third vessel from the Darwin Class 102 series featuring exterior design and naval architecture by Hydro Tec.
Described by the shipyard as ‘evergreen’, the yacht's exteriors are designed to encapsulate the strength and reliability of the vessel. All yachts in the Darwin Class benefit from a characteristically high bow and bulwarks and offer transatlantic range.
Inside, Hvalross is a classical affair with walnut wood tones, Hermès wallpaper and leather-covered walls throughout. Yet freestanding furniture, with selected pieces from Minotti and Baxter, give the interiors a contemporary dimension. Interior design is by Pierluigi Floris.
The sundeck has been customised into a lounge and wellness area; including a sofa, a central bar that is equipped for cocktails and cooking, as well as a fully-equipped open-air fitness area with a pool. In keeping with the active theme, the garage has been laid out with ample space for toys, vehicles and a fully-fledged diving centre.
She has accommodation for up to 10 guests across four cabins and alongside six crew, although it is specified that the laundry cabin in the crew area could be easily refitted into a third crew cabin for increased service.
Featuring independent rudders, electric fins stabilizers, and wastewater treatment systems for black, grey, and bilge waters - which was adapted from the commercial sector - the technical elements of the yacht have been designed specifically for heavy usage. Hvalross' top speed is 15.9 knots and the 244GT yacht has a 5,900 nautical mile range at 10 knots.
Hvalross was asking €9,700,000.
