The 26.1-metre explorer yacht Vitadimare 3 has been sold by Carlo Aquilanti of CDM Pre-owned Sales Department. Her new owner was found just one month after she was put on the market.
Launched in Ancona, Italy, by Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) in 2011, Vitadimare 3 is the first of the Darwin Class. She had been designed by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec, who also completed the naval architecture. The imposing steel hull, finished in dark red, gives the vessel a purposeful look.
Vitadimare 3 was under the same ownership since new and had clocked up thousands of miles cruising. Her accommodation for eight comprises four cabins on the lower deck, including a full-beam owner's cabin. Crew quarters and mess are on the main deck, forward of the galley. The captain's cabin is adjacent to the wheelhouse on the upper deck where an owner's office is also located, which doubles as a media room. Up on the sundeck, which offers commanding views, the dining table and bar are served by a dumb waiter for efficiency.
The 195 GT yacht is powered by twin Caterpillar C12 diesel engines, supplying a range of 6,770 nautical miles at 9 knots and a top speed of 11.5 knots.
The asking price of Vitadimare 3 was not disclosed. She is to be renamed Eva.
