The 30.94 metre Burger motor yacht Intermission has been sold by Moran Yacht & Ship, with John Crowder of J Christopher Yacht Sales bringing the buyer.
Designed by Donald O'Keefe, Intermission was built in aluminium by US yard Burger Boat Company and delivered in 1998 as a raised pilothouse model with her last refit in 2020. Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins comprising a large master suite, port VIP suite and a twin while the fourth cabin has a double bed and can also be used as a captain’s cabin. All cabins come with entertainment centres, HD television screens and en suite bathroom facilities.
The main saloon has large windows and a full glass panel bulkhead that lets abundant natural light into the space. An open layout is accompanied by beach-house inspired colours on all furniture, accented by intricate wood detailing. A pop-up television screen behind the sofa on the starboard side allows guests the option for either an intimate dinner or a more casual evening.
Forward, antique folding mirrors conceal a refrigerator, while the bulkhead boasts a full wet bar. A dining table is found between the seating area and forward bulkhead, comfortably seating up to eight guests.
A custom hardtop provides shelter on the flybridge, which has a comfortable bench in reach of the controls and provides a clear 360-degree view. Aft, there are two L-shaped settees with square tables for al fresco entertaining.
The most recent list of work in 2020 includes a new sea chest, new teak, a steering system upgrade, an upgraded bow thruster, a new air conditioning system, upgraded chillers and a freshly serviced engine cooling system. Intermission has benefitted from several refits over the years, most recently in 2018 when she received a new paint job.
Twin 1,350hp Caterpillar diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 18 knots topping out at 22 knots.
Intermission was asking $2,675,000.
