The 25.6 metre Burger motor yacht Cherokee, listed for sale by David Wiest at RJC Yacht Sales, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Jerry Gilpin of Denison Yachting.
Cherokee was built in aluminium by US yard Burger and delivered in 2000 with a full refit in 2014. Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins consisting of a full beam master suite amidships with a king-sized bed while three cabins are located forward, two with queen sized doubles and one with upper and lower berths, all with en suite bathroom facilities.
The carpeted main saloon has large windows running full length on both sides. To starboard is a full length cherry wood entertainment center built-in beneath the window level with an electronic keyboard, television, entertainment electronics and related equipment. Aft of this credenza is the stairway access to the master suite, protected with a stainless and brass art-deco surround topped with a cherry wood railing. To port in the main saloon is a built-in L-shaped settee with custom storage beneath. Opposite sits a custom built cocktail table of beveled glass and stainless steel with burl wood legs. A glass and cherry panelled bulkhead separates the main saloon from the full width aft saloon.
The aft saloon is a favourite area for gatherings which doubles as both a living and dining room. Aft and to port and designed by the owners is a built-in seating area and convertible table. With the L-shaped built-in seating along with moveable woven leather and rattan chairs, this area can be used as a dining or entertaining site for all aboard. The custom cherry table converts from cocktail to dining use quickly and easily and can be expanded in size to seat 10 to 12 persons.
Twin 1,400hp Caterpillar engines give her a cruising speed of 17 knots.
Cherokee was asking $1,195,000.
