The 49.9-metre motor yacht Book Ends is now listed for sale with Thom Conboy and Chris Collins of Ocean Independence.
Delivered by Heesen in 2022, Book Ends follows Aquamarine as the second unit in the Dutch shipyard's 5000 Aluminium series. She was built by an experienced yachtsman and is in as-new condition with low hours and light owners use. The yacht's sporty exterior is owed to Frank Laupman and the team at Omega Architects, who have given her a sharply tapered bow, distinctive bootstripe, and arching aft decks.
Accommodation is for 12 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam (nine metre) owner's cabin forward on the main deck with marble bathroom, separate study and walk-in wardrobe. There is further accommodation for a complement of nine crew.
Book Ends' polished, contemporary interiors are designed by Cristiano Gatto, while the walls are hung with a selection of acclaimed modern artists. Interior highlights include oversized windows for ample natural light, an "innovative" saloon design that sees curved bulkheads separating the lounge and dining areas and a main stairwell with atriums on all three levels.
The yacht offers plenty of alfresco space for her owners to make the most out of life on the water. Arranged with lounge seating forward, Jacuzzi and sunpads aft and a bar and dining area amidships, the hardtop sun deck is Book Ends' main on-deck communal space. The walkaround upper deck benefits from ample guest seating on the foredeck with a large Bimini shade while the main deck aft has a spread of sunpads.
Book Ends' flex-use beach club is also worth noting – the broker envisions the space converted to a sea-level gym for morning workouts, a lounge area during the day and an entertainment space by night.
Powered by 7,000hp MTU engines, Book Ends can reach a maximum speed of 23 knots and a range of 4,200 nautical miles when pared back to 11 knots. The Tier 3 engines are also "green oceanic", reducing NOx emissions during operations.
A draft of 2.2 metres also allows this yacht for sale to access shallow bays and shoal water regions with ease.
Book Ends is asking €42,000,000 and lying in Fort Lauderdale, USA.
