The 46 metre motor yacht Karima has been listed for sale by Jody O’Brien at Fraser.
Built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Amels to a design by Terence Disdale, Karima was delivered in 1993 as a global explorer yacht with an ice-strengthened hull and last refitted in 2014.
Designer Peter Marino has taken full advantage of her capacious interior to provide accommodation for 12 guests in five cabins comprising an owner’s deck, two double guest cabins and two twins with extra Pullman berths. All guest cabins have en suite bathroom facilities while the crew quarters sleep 15 staff aboard this yacht for sale.
Split into three areas, the saloon offers an entertainment section with a motorized, large television screen. To starboard is a cosy sitting area while forward is the dining area; a bar unit is in a starboard cabinet against the forward bulkhead.
The upper deck is well arranged with a very private forward sun deck, complete with an ample sunbathing platform that covers storage lockers adjacent to the helideck. Totally clear, with no staircases, flag poles or other obstructions, the helideck guarantees a turbulence free landing surface with reference marks. This deck can receive any existing single rotor helicopter. Her top speed is 14 knots and her power comes from three 735hp Caterpillar 3508-DITA diesel-electric engines.
Currently en-route to the Netherlands, Karima is asking $12,000,000.
