The 42-metre classic Amels motor yacht Sheergold has been sold with Tomaso Polli of Edmiston representing the seller and Derk Jan Rolff from Holland Yacht Connection introducing the buyer.
Sheergold (ex Serafina) is a classic canoe-stern motor yacht built by Amels in 1987 to a design by the legendary Jon Bannenberg. Used only privately and with two owners since new, the broker pointed out that "the present owner has cherished her for the past 30 years" and that Sheergold has been meticulously maintained with a repaint in 2022.
Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins, catered to by a crew of nine. The master double is forward on the main deck, with a VIP cabin and two twins situated on the lower deck.
From the aft deck, shaded by an overhang, the main saloon is entered via large doors. Chesterfield-style leather sofas and herringbone wood panelling offer a vintage feel. The dining area is open plan and guests have the option of dining at another interior table on the upper deck – or al fresco when the tender is launched from the upper deck.
There is ample deck space for lounging about or entertaining on, including a large sunpad forward on the sundeck with commanding views. A pair of "observation settees" are located on the foredeck.
The 387GT RINA-classed classic yacht has a cruising speed of 11.5 knots, driven by twin 775hp Caterpillar diesel engines. She has a top speed of 13.5 knots.
Sheergold was asking €4,500,000 with VAT paid. She was lying in Italy.
