The 40.3-metre Alloy Yachts sloop Kokotea has joined the market with Lukas Stratmann of Ocean Independence.
Built in aluminium in New Zealand by Alloy Yachts in 2000, she was designed by Dubois Naval Architects with an interior by Redman Whiteley Dixon (now RWD). She was the fifth Dubois design to be commissioned by the same owner. A substantial refit and maintenance program since 2021 has included a full hull and superstructure repaint.
Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins, comprising a master suite, two VIPs and a smaller double cabin. There are quarters for a crew of six.
Kokotea's deck saloon features comfortable lounge seating with excellent views out to sea. The lower deck saloon offers a cosy dining environment at a nine-seater table. Opposite to port is more lounge seating, including a leather sofa and armchairs.
On deck, the spacious cockpit is covered and well-protected, ideal for outdoor dining. Aft are twin helm stations with good visibility forward around the superstructure and of the Doyle sails towering above.
The ABS-classed, 199GT yacht for sale had comprehensive refits in 2008, 2010, 2016 and 2023. A Caterpillar C18 provides a range of 3,500 nautical miles under power at a cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum speed of 13 knots – although her Dubois linesplan is faster under sail.
Kokotea is lying in Savannah, Georgia in the USA and asking €7,800,000.
