The 62 metre sailing yacht Athos, listed for sale by James McMaster at McMaster Yachts, has had a significant price reduction of €7,000,000.
Built in aluminium by Dutch yard Holland Jachtbouw to a design by Hoek Naval Architects, Athos was delivered in 2006 and is Bureau Veritas classed and MCA compliant. In 2016 she was refitted at Orams Marine in New Zealand, receiving a hull transformation from blue to stark white, interior upgrades and new sails.
Accommodation in a mahogany panelled interior is for up to ten guests in five cabins consisting of a master suite, two doubles and two twins convertible to doubles. All guest cabins have en suite shower facilities and access to a Kaleidescape on-demand audio and video server, while there are crew quarters for up to ten staff on this yacht for sale.
In the deckhouse, there is a dining table that can accommodate up to 12 guests on the starboard side and a cosy seating area to port with a coffee table as its centrepiece. The bar area in the port forward corner is equipped with dishwasher, ice maker and fridge.
Athos is the world’s largest privately-owned two-masted schooner with a 61.4 metre main mast, Reckmann furling systems and a new wardrobe of Doyle sails. Under power, twin Volvo Penta diesel engines deliver a cruising speed of 12 knots topping out at 14 knots and offer a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 11 knots.
Athos is asking €28,000,000.
