The 29.2-metre Richards Iron Works yacht La Fenice has joined the market with Ed Cavendish and Ed Dickinson of Northrop & Johnson.
Delivered in 1962 by the UK-based shipyard, La Fenice was originally built as a support vessel for Sovereign, Anthony Boyden’s 12-metre challenger in the 1964 America’s Cup. Over the years, the yacht has undergone extensive refits and has been owned by notable figures, including photographer Peter Lindbergh and designer Christian Liaigre, who oversaw many of her upgrades.
Her exterior design, created by Laurent Giles, is characterised by a “rugged”, “explorer-style” profile. The light khaki hull is paired with a white superstructure, complemented by an open bow area and wooden detailing. Large windows stretch across the main deck.
The interior styling combines light and dark tones, with wood flooring and leather accents creating a welcoming atmosphere. Accommodation is provided for up to nine guests in four cabins, including three double rooms and a triple suite with a double bed and a pullman berth. Crew quarters are available for up to five members.
La Fenice's main deck features a spacious flybridge, offering an al fresco dining area and a large sunpad for enjoying panoramic views. The aft deck provides additional seating, with direct access to the swim platform and the main saloon. The yacht is also equipped to carry water toys, including an Axopar 37 chase boat.
On her technical side, the 140GT yacht for sale is powered by twin Gardner engines that provide her a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 13 knots.
La Fenice is currently asking €2,750,000.
