Horizon Yachts

Horizon Yacht creates and builds yachts at its hard in Taiwan that fulfil the dreams of its clients. The builder’s company structure facilitates this objective by allowing subsidiary divisions within Horizon to concentrate on their areas of expertise and build high-quality vessels in a shorter construction time. For example, Atech Composite Company is dedicated to composite engineering and builds yacht hulls and superstructures with Horizon’s patented SCRIMP process.

History

In 1987 CEO John Lu founded Horizon Yacht, the parent company of Horizon Group. Lu’s enthusiasm for boats and love of the ocean stems from childhood. Lu graduated from the National Taiwan Ocean University with a degree in naval architecture and returned to his hometown of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to gain experience in the yacht industry. As a successful naval architect, he decided to establish Horizon Yacht, his goal to build clients their ultimate dream yacht.

Notable Launches

The CC110 Lady Gaga (33.53-metres LOA) was customised for her Chinese owner’s tastes and launched in 2011. However, the yacht still reflects Horizon’s commitment to quality. The CC stands for the Custom Collection and the CC series comprises the custom projects that go beyond what is available in the current Horizon model series. The CC80 Catamaran at 24.7-metres long has an interior that features an on-deck master and four guest staterooms.
