Submersible specialist U-Boat Worx has revealed renderings for the world's first 35 metre submarine designed with deep-sea entertaining in mind.
The radical "Under Water Entertainment Platform" design, also known as UWEP, can host up to 120 guests excluding crew and cruise at depths of up to 200 metres.
With 150 square metres of floor space on offer, the submersible can be configured in a number of different variations from a 64-seat underwater restaurant for a deep-sea dining experience, or as a sub-sea gym or casino. The UWEP platform could even be used to host business conferences, weddings or parties.
Fourteen circular windows connect guests to the underwater world, while a series of exterior lights illuminate its surroundings so that aquatic wildlife can be seen even at night.

Speaking on the new venture, founder and chief executive officer of U-Boat Worx, Bert Houtman, said: “The UWEP will shake up both the submarine and hospitality industry and lead the way in bespoke underwater events. We will not only present a stellar experience for the most discerning clientele, but also a business opportunity that will benefit entrepreneurs and contribute to our understanding of the oceans."
