Henri Lloyd unveils Land Rover BAR America’s Cup kit

With the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series in Portsmouth now just days away, British sailing apparel brand Henri Lloyd has unveiled the technical kit it has created for Land Rover BAR.

Ben Ainslie in the Henri Lloyd-designed kit

Comprising long johns and a neoprene top for cold weather, pants and a neoprene top for warm weather and both long and short sleeve multi-purpose rash vests, the navy and red kit will keep the team looking stylish whatever the weather.

With the AC45F boats now reaching up to 50mph, America’s Cup sailors face incredibly extreme conditions with high winds, freezing sea spray and plenty of jolts and bumps. To combat this the kit has been created in high performance 2mm super stretch neoprene and nylon spandex with liquid silicone replacing traditional seams for extra durability, comfort and flexibility.

A dedicated team from Land Rover BAR worked with Henri Lloyd on the kit design. The brand has pledged to incorporate the lessons learnt from this experience into its core collections to give sailors at all levels the chance to own the cutting edge in marine apparel.

However, for those who wish to show their support in a more timely fashion, Henri Lloyd has also created a range of polo-shirts, jackets and hats featuring the Land Rover BAR kit design. The range will be available at America’s Cup World Series events in Portsmouth, Gothenburg and Bermuda, as well as via the Henri Lloyd website, with designs are available for men, women and children.

The brand will also be offering a personalisation service on Land Rover BAR merchandise so you can add your name to selected items - just like Ben Ainslie and his teammates.
