Swiss fine watchmaker Franck Muller has partnered with the Italian Sea Group on a new boating-inspired luxury timepiece. The Yachting Collection is based on Muller’s signature Vanguard watches and has been conceived by the brand as a tribute to the traditions of craftsmanship and the seafaring world.
Created to celebrate the Franck Muller yacht, which was recently announced as a new collaborative project with the Italian Sea Group, the deep blue case of the timepiece features an illustration of the partnership’s first boat, a 55 metre motor yacht, and sleek curved lines reminiscent of the collaborative vessel. Imagined as a sports watch ideal for the Franck Muller yacht owner, the timepiece also features an automatic movement, stylish blue and white cordura and rubber strap, bold high-legibility numerals and a blue dial complete with a wind rose.
Available as a classic or chronograph, the watch comes in titanium, rose gold and stainless steel variations. It can currently be viewed at the Marina di Carrara in Italy, where there is a shipyard dedicated to the Franck Muller yacht, as well as a watch gallery devoted to the brand’s latest timepieces.
The Franck Muller Yachting Collection watch is available now, with the first Franck Muller motor yacht, created in collaboration with the Italian Sea Group, to be presented during the Monaco Boat Show in September 2015.
