Dutch yard Zeelander Yachts has launched the first unit in its flagship Zeelander 8 series, named Silver Dawn. Designed by Cor D. Rover, the 23.9-metre model maintains the brand’s signature style with a focus on performance, speed and comfort.
Silver Dawn is, fittingly, finished in Porsche rhodium silver with an orange bootstripe, incorporating the brand’s trademark curved windows and sunroof for naturally lit interiors. The yacht also features the shipyard's signature S-shaped sheerline, and raked stern.
The interior includes cream leather, grey linen upholstery and Macassar ebony cabinetry, all designed for durability with high-pressure laminate for low maintenance.
"The low maintenance requirements ensure that the boat spends more time in use and less time on the dock," explained Zeelander founder Sietse Koopmans. "It is a philosophy that Zeelander also extends to its rigorous engineering."
The yacht accommodates up to nine guests in three double cabins, including a full-beam master cabin with an en suite bathroom. Crew quarters for three are also included with a separate entrance for privacy.
On board, the full-length main saloon features a dining area and helm station, while aft, a large tender garage is equipped to house a Williams 395 Sportjet and twin SeaBobs. The aft deck is also fitted with padded leatherette seats and a transom which swings open to create a large bathing platform suspended above the water.
Other noteworthy features of the model include customisable layouts, a full-beam tender garage and peerless handling regardless of propulsion options.
"We are so proud of the Zeelander 8 project," concluded Koopmans. "Born of a loyal client’s desire for a bigger yacht, the Zeelander 8 succeeds in perpetuating the famous Zeelander aesthetic while hugely increasing interior volumes. And all that without compromising performance."
At her top speed of 40 knots, Silver Dawn can operate "at full throttle" without breaking the 65dBa barrier.
