Westport Yachts has announced the launch of the first unit in its 35.8-metre raised pilothouse series, the W117. The yacht, named Priceless, will now undergo "extensive sea trials" ahead of her delivery and debut at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show.
Construction on the GRP yacht began in 2022, following the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions. The concept was developed with "three-dimension modelling and structural software", as used in the aviation industry.
Accommodation is for 10 guests across five en suite cabins and five crew, including the captain. The master cabin is positioned on the main deck, benefitting from a his-and-hers bathroom and backlit Majelite headboard.
Interior renderings reveal a colour palette of whites and greys with leather and vinyl accents, creating "a neutral backdrop for an owner to incorporate a desired look". Premium woods have also been used such as mahogany and pomelle sapele, alongside beech hardwoods in the crew’s quarters.
With a 7.7-metre beam, the main deck saloon has been described as "dramatically open and spacious" by the yard. The interior dining table can also be positioned aft for semi-al fresco dining. While full details are yet to be disclosed, other highlights include a beach club bar and a flybridge fitted with a centreline hot tub, settees, barbecue and bar.
Power will come from a pair of Caterpillar C32 engines, for a top speed of 24 knots and cruising speed of 20 knots. A draft of 1.9 metres will also allow the W117 to navigate shallow bays and anchorages as seen in the Bahamas and Caribbean.
