Turkish shipyard AvA Yachts has announced the sale of the third hull in its 35 metre Kando 110 series to a Norwegian client. It comes after hull two, Infinfity Nine, was delivered to NBA star Tony Parker in November.
Construction has already begun on hull three, with the steel cut and the keel due to be laid later this month. Delivery is slated for 2024.
The full-displacement model is defined by high-volume interiors and long-range capabilities, with a six-cabin layout and a main deck owner's cabin. Key numbers include a gross tonnage of 333 and a range of more than 6,500 nautical miles.
Atilla Küçükdiker, the chairman and founder of AvA Yachts, said the yard was "delighted" to have secured the order shortly after the deliveries of hulls one and two. "It further demonstrates customer faith in the Kando Series as being a world-beating ultra-long range and hugely fuel-efficient proper explorer yacht fleet," he said. "These are exciting times for AvA Yachts and watch this space for exciting announcements forthcoming very soon”.
Propulsion of hull three will come from Volvo-Penta Tier III compliant engines and she will feature a 5.5 metre RIB tender that will be easy to launch and recover.
