Superyacht Far Away launched by Canados

9 July 2012 • Written by Raphael Montigneaux

The first Canados 120 was successfully launched a couple of days ago. Christened Far Away during a Russian orthodox ceremony, this 36.22 metre motor yacht becomes the new flagship of the Italian yard.

Far Away has naval architecture and an exterior design by the in-house team. The Canados 120 features large openings on the main and lower deck allowing natural light indoors. Exterior spaces were optimized with a large beach club at the stern, side balconies, a solarium on the foredeck and a large flybridge protected by a carbon hard-top.

The interior, designed by Francesco Paszkowski, uses natural materials – oak, ebony, stone plus titanium – with grey as the dominant colour. It accommodates six guests on the lower deck in two master suites and a twin cabin. Sliding panels can divide the space of the owner's suites to adapt the layout as desired.

Far Away is powered by twin 2,400hp MTU engines giving a top speed of 29 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots.

Following her sea trials, Far Away will be delivered to her Russian owners who will enjoy a Mediterranean cruise during the summer.
