Dutch yard Heesen has announced a construction milestone for the 57-metre superyacht known as Project YN 20857.
Codenamed Project Setteesettanta, the superstructure of the all-aluminium, full-custom yacht has now been completed and transported to the shipyard's facilities in Oss, the Netherlands. Delivery is slated for 2026.
The yacht's exterior is owed to Frank Laupman and the team at Omega Architects, while Cristiano Gatto Design is responsible for the interiors. Project Setteesettanta marks the 12th collaboration between Cristiano Gatto and the Dutch shipyard, with the designer additionally entrusted as the owners' representative.
"This new project possesses all the characteristics to become the crown jewel in Heesen’s fleet, and I’m sure it will create many ripples, just like Crazy Me did 10 years ago," said Gatto. "Thanks to its ultra-detailed design and engineering approach, Setteesettanta will be a one-of-a-kind yacht on the water."
A key feature onboard Project Setteesettanta (which translates to "seven and 70" in Italian) is its four-metre infinity pool found on the main deck aft. A set of steps on either side of the pool lead guests down to the swimming terrace, which features a hydraulic transformer platform for easy access to the water. Tenders and toys are stowed in the forward garage behind gull-wing doors, with additional storage for toys tucked behind the lazarette.
The 920GT yacht will have a six-cabin layout, including a generous upper deck owner’s apartment complete with 180-degree views and private access to the nearly 200-square-metre foredeck, which can also function as a touch-and-go helipad. A VIP cabin is found on the main deck, alongside a gym. There are a further four guest cabins – two twin and two double configurations – on the lower deck.
The four decks are connected by an oval staircase that runs back-to-back with the crew staircase for improved space optimisation. There is space for up to 13 crew members. Project Setteesettanta is expected to be the first yacht in the Heesen fleet to have the helm located on the fourth, upper deck.
Mark Cavendish, Heesen’s former CCO, added in a previous statement: "We are extremely honoured that our clients have entrusted us with the build of a new yacht for the second time. A full-custom, 57-metre motor yacht cannot be anything other than perfect, and there isn’t a shipyard in the world with a better knowledge of the techniques and disciplines needed to reach these heights. This will be a memorable journey that will lead to the creation of a dream, and we can’t wait to enjoy it with the owners of YN 20857 and their team."
The yacht will have a 2.3-metre draught with top speeds of 18 knots and a transatlantic range of 3,900 nautical miles at 12 knots.
There are 14 yachts currently under construction at Heesen ranging from 50 to 80 metres in length. In recent news, the Dutch yard revealed a new 62-metre steel superyacht concept known as Project Monte Carlo at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.
