Horizon Yachts has announced that the second unit in its 31 metre range of FD100s has now begun construction.
The tri-deck yacht was sold to American owners at the 2021 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November where the FD100 model, designed by Cor D.Rover, made its debut.
The owners have opted for customisation options that focus on entertaining family and friends on board, including a hi/lo table on the aft deck accompanied by a 65-inch fold-down television and a bar with two fixed bar stools. A similar set-up can be found in the sky lounge with a larger television positioned just aft of the wheelhouse, acting as a divider between crew operations and the upper lounge area. A curved bar and L-shaped sofa complete the sky lounge, which leads out to a Jacuzzi and exterior bar through sliding doors.
The owners customised the uppermost deck by eliminating the exterior helm station to create an additional al fresco dining area with a table for ten, buffet, bar, seating and sun pads. A foredeck lounge completes the social areas on board offering additional seating and sun pads shaded by awnings.
Much like the first hull, the second FD100 features a five-stateroom layout including a full-beam master suite situated on the main deck. The remaining guest accommodation is comprised of four en suite cabins below: three VIPS and a convertible twin.
Other interior highlights include a built-in wine cellar in the main saloon while guests are catered to by a crew of six. Meanwhile, a beach club has been fitted with a bar as well as space for bike and dive and fishing gear. The area is completed with rod holders, an insulated box, Eskimo ice system and large storage lockers for rods and reels.
The second FD100 is scheduled to hit the water later this year and the owners plan to cruise the East Coast of the US upon delivery. The sale of the first hull was announced in February 2022.
